GladChild: The birth of a baby before the full gestational age sometimes can not be avoided. Babies born prematurely need medical care and maximum attention.

Babies born prematurely will usually be highly susceptible to several health problems. According to a new study, when premature babies grow into adolescents, have a high mortality rate.

Most babies are born prematurely are more susceptible to various health problems compared with babies born to the age of full content.

Previous studies showed the risk of premature infant death ends after the baby made it through the first year of his birth, after which the normal risk of death.

But a new study in contrast with previous studies, which found that premature babies are more prone to death as a teenager for a serious illness such as heart disease, diabetes and asthma. Some of the disease progression of the disease does have a fairly long time.

This is a completely new discovery. Even babies born only a few weeks early also still have an increased risk of death. However, the absolute mortality rate of about 1 per 1,000 people per year, so it still includes very low, said Dr. Casey Crump from Stanford University, as quoted from HealthNews on Monday September 26, 2011.

The results of Dr. Crump have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The study involved almost 675,000 Swedes born between the years 1973-1979. Researchers found children who were born before the age of 37 weeks of gestation have a higher chance of dying before age 5 years when compared to babies born to the age of full content.

Although the children had made it through childhood, but then the child has a higher chance to experience death in approximately 18-36 years of age.

Dr. Crump said the health problems that may be associated with the death of babies born in premature, including heart disease, diabetes, and asthma. Some of the disease progression of the disease does have a fairly long time.

I think it is important to realize the potential increased risk of various health problems will be experienced by premature babies, he said.
